Jassim Aldhamin
In Untitled, Saudi artist Jassim AlDhamin continues his exploration of the human psyche through abstracted figuration and layered emotion. The composition presents a distorted human form that appears to drift between presence and absence—partially dissolved into sweeping strokes of muted browns, soft pinks, and cool turquoise. Amid the abstraction, a faintly rendered face emerges, its gaze introspective and haunting, grounding the piece in a quiet psychological depth.
AlDhamin’s expressive use of texture and fragmented linework evokes a sense of disconnection and contemplation, as if the figure is suspended in a state of introspective uncertainty. The muted beige background heightens the emotional weight of the central form, allowing the viewer to focus on the subtle interplay between exposure and concealment.
Through this work, AlDhamin captures the fragility of identity and the tension between visibility and erasure—an evocative meditation on the layers of human emotion and the complexity of inner existence.
